SJ2005
- a smart partnership for community development program
by the Strategic Implementation Thrust Committee (STIC) spearheaded
by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia in line with the National
IT Agenda. It is aimed at transforming the Subang Jaya community
into a smart and knowledge-based community by year 2005 via a tri-sectoral
participation model between the Government, private entities and
communities. It will serve as a testbed and model for other communities
in the country to follow suit.
The primary partners for SJ2005 comprise the National IT Council
(NITC) / MIMOS Berhad; Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ); Ministry
of Housing and Local Government; and the Community/Business Sector
of Subang Jaya.
 Official
launch of the SJ2005 e-Learning Program - Nov 12th 2001 saw
yet another milestone of the SJ2005 Project as Y.A.B. Datuk Seri
Ahmad Badawi, Deputy Prime Minister, launched the SJ2005 e-Learning
Program, accompanied by Tuan Ahmad Fuad, Council President of MPSJ
(far right), and representatives from NITC/MIMOS and i-EduWeb.com.
The SJ2005 e-Learning Program was one of the
various flagship initiatives launched under the 6 working groups,
comprising e-Community, e-Learning, e-Public Services, e-Business,
Technology and Impact Study.
It was designed by the SJ2005 e-Learning Working
Group by the community for the community, involving the tri-sectoral
participation. Some of our existing list of primary program partners
for on-site training and e-learning include: i-EduWeb.com Centre,
Intel Malaysia, Sunway College, FutureKids, Celcom (Malaysia) and
Internexia.
As this is a Smart Learning Program "by the community for the
community", other program partners and community participants
are always welcomed to come forward to participate in this program.
